Khaman is a very popular dish in India. It is a kind of Indian salt cake, yellow and soft texture, which brings together flavors sweet, salty and sour. This is a recipe based on chick pea flour (Besan in Hindi) or lentils (Chana dal) soaked.
To prepare the Khaman, add water to the powder contained in the pack, cook this mixture with steam. It becomes like a kind of cake, you cut into slices and you put into the pan with onions, mustard seeds and sesame seeds and turmeric.
In addition to making available the recipe, which is long (soaking, fermentation), the Khaman is an Indian dish which can be prepared in advance and refrigerated. It is ideal as a fresh starter or to bring for picnic.
