Ginger dried
Ginger comes from the rhizomes of a plant native to Asia. In India, the largest producer of ginger, it is called Adrak (Hindi). Ginger is a spice very fragrant and very tasty, very popular in Indian cooking.
Dried ginger is much used in Indian cooking for the spice mixture Garam masala, for chai (Indian tea), and in chutneys and Indian curries.
Dried ginger has a long preservation, and preserves sauces which with it is prepared. It is rich in starch. It has an anti-inflammatory properties. In India, it is recommended for sore throats.
