The Dosa is a kind of Indian pankake typical of southern India. The Dosa has almost the same function as Nan or Chapati. It is a pancake made of rice and lentils.

 

How to use the preparation for Dosa

It is a powder that have to be diluted in a little water to obtain a paste, which is spread out to prepare the dosa pancakes. It looks like pancakes but more crispy. Once the cake baked, it can be enjoyed either plain or topped with vegetables, onions, potatoes and spices (masala dosa, onion dosa ...).

 

Why use the preparation of dosa

The recipe for dosas is a rather long and complicated preparation (soaking, mixing, etc..), the "instant dosas" are handy. They are perfect to accompany Sambher or Rasam recipe, typical of southern India.
