Curry leaf, known in India as Kadhi patta (Hindi) and Kaloupilé in La Reunion island, come from a tree native to India, called meetha neem. The word Curry being sometimes subject to ambiguity, we must distinguish leaf curry, curry powder (a spice mix powder ready made) and curry (a traditional preparation of a kind of sauce with spices that incorporates the dish).
